Joomla 3.0 represents a huge leap forward for the system in a lot of ways. Congratulations to everyone involved in making this happen! Well done, everyone!

The second annual Joomla Day Chicago 2012 Business Expo and Learning Conference is coming this weekend, August 10-11, at the Chicago Marriott Midway, and 3 members of the CWM team will be presenting at the conference. This year, the conference is split into 2 days, the Business Day on Friday and the Community Day on Saturday.
Joe will be one of the keynote speakers and will be presenting his talk, "Where is Joomla going?" on Friday at 2:00 pm. Cory and Jeremy will be presenting on Saturday during the Community Day. Cory is presenting his talk on "Mobile Joomla Strategies and Techniques" on Saturday morning at 9:00 am, and Jeremy is presenting his talk on "Building Web Applications Using the Joomla Platform" on Saturday at 2:15 pm.
Last year's Joomla Day Chicago was a huge success, and this year is shaping up to be equally successful. We are excited for the opportunity to go and meet new Joomla enthusiasts and reconnect with old friends.

Brendan Pittman joins the Cory Webb Media team

We are pleased to announce that Brendan Pittman has joined the Cory Webb Media team. Brendan is an excellent designer and worked for The Austin Stone Community Church, where he helped design and build an outstanding Joomla-powered website for the church. He has also worked as a freelance designer, and has had the opportunity to design and build beautiful sites, including a new Joomla-powered website for U.S. Olympic runner, Leo Manzano. We are excited to have Brendan's talents to provide clean, professional designs for our clients and help us continue to raise the bar for Joomla websites.

The 2012 J and Beyond J!OSCAR short list was announced today, and we're happy to announce that we have 3 sites on the list! In the Non-Corporate Web Sites category, we built 2 of the 5 sites in the list, and our own website, CoryWebbMedia.com, is on the short list for mobile web sites.
